About Us
Leawood Country Manor is located between Nall Avenue and Roe from 112th to 114th streets. Its location is one of its best features being close to I-435, Town Center, Leawood City Hall, the Pioneer Public Library, and many fine restaurants. It is in the Blue Valley School district, with the elementary, middle school and high school conveniently located to the neighborhood.
Leawood Country Manor is a neighborhood that is stable, convenient and most notably, full of friendly people. Our subdivision of 180 homes contains a nice mix of original owners, families with children of all ages, empty nesters and young couples. As the subdivision developed, beginning in the mid-1970s, the inclusion of a fishing pond, landscaped islands, swimming pool, playground and a lovely private park with a walking trail made the neighborhood a draw for nature-loving residents.
Leawood Country Manor encourages a sense of community by sponsoring neighborhood social events. The event calendar includes something for everyone. This year's events feature an Easter egg hunt; an early summer fishing derby for our youngest residents; a spring garage sale; a Fourth of July parade and picnic; a fall campout in the park; an Oktoberfest celebration and an annual progressive dinner for adults. Other events happen informally throughout the year.
While commercial development expands all around the subdivision, Leawood Country Manor continues to retain its quiet, tree-filled charm. The homes association governing board, made up of elected residents, works hard to maintain the neighborhoods beauty and value.
